Muslim Brotherhood 'Takes Credit' for Egypt Border Attack

Arutz Sheva - The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt claims responsibility for a shooting attack targeting an IDF patrol near the border with Israel.

The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt claimed responsibility on Sunday night for a shooting attack which targeted at an IDF patrol near the border with Israel. The claim of responsibility was posted on a Facebook page associated with the Muslim Brotherhood.

According to the post on the Facebook page, the attack was carried out by terrorists who came from Egypt in four-wheel drive vehicles. When they reached the border area, the terrorists fired at an Israeli patrol using light weapons and anti-tank launchers.   Read More


Mortar shells from Syria fall on Golan Heights

Times of Israel - A mortar shell fired from Syria fell Thursday evening near Kibbutz El-Rom on the Golan Heights. There were no initial reports of injuries or damage.  

Later in the evening, another mortar shell landed in the Golan Heights.

The mortar shells were likely rounds misfired by the combatants in the Syrian civil war as they struggle bitterly for control over the country.   Read More


Special IDF Unit Prepares to Confront Hezbollah Terror Threat in North

IDF Blog - In a special month-long exercise, the IDF’s elite Duvdevan unit recently trained to confront Hezbollah forces positioned throughout Southern Lebanon near Israel’s northern border. As one of the military’s special counter-terrorism units, Duvdevan typically works to thwart terror in Judea and Samaria — part of Israel’s central region — but is now preparing to battle similar threats facing Israel’s north.

The exercise included a week of training in urban warfare, leading soldiers through a large model of an Arab village containing simulated terror threats. Although the soldiers frequently train in similar villages located throughout Judea and Samaria, this exercise was notably different — featuring targets designed to resemble Hezbollah terrorists.   Read More
